Waterfront Hideaway Ranch

Little Elm, Texas

Waterfront Hideaway Ranch in Little Elm, Texas, is a 14-acre camping destination on the shores of Lewisville Lake in Denton County — a peaceful combination of open pasture, shaded groves, and direct lakefront access that gives the Dallas-Fort Worth metropolitan area's outdoor recreation market its most accessible private lakefront camping in the DFW suburban corridor, where the 35-mile proximity to downtown Dallas and the 15-mile proximity to Frisco's entertainment and sports venues give the Little Elm campground the specific metropolitan convenience that the lakefront outdoor setting makes increasingly rare in the rapidly developing Denton County residential market. Little Elm's Denton County position on the north shore of Lewisville Lake gives the ranch the practical DFW suburban access alongside the lake's bass fishing, the Little Elm Park's sandy beach, and the Lewisville Lake Environmental Learning Area's nature trails. Fourteen acres of open pasture, shaded groves, and direct Lewisville Lake frontage with the complete camping infrastructure give Waterfront Hideaway Ranch the lakefront camping character that the DFW metropolitan outdoor market specifically seeks within the suburban reach of the Dallas-Fort Worth employment and entertainment corridor — the 14-acre property's combination of open pasture for the gathering events and the shaded grove sites for the individual camper gives the Little Elm ranch the versatility to serve both the family camping weekend and the group reunion or corporate outdoor event that the lakefront setting and the pasture venue sustain. Pets are welcome. Lewisville Lake, 11,000 acres of the Elm Fork Trinity River impoundment in Denton and Dallas Counties, is the closest major lake to the DFW metropolitan area's north side — a reservoir whose bass tournament circuit, the sand beach at Lewisville Lake Environmental Learning Area, and the multiple Corps of Engineers public recreation areas give the Denton County lake the most complete freshwater recreation infrastructure of any lake within 30 miles of the Dallas urban core. The largemouth and striped bass fishery that Lewisville sustains gives the DFW metropolitan lake the competitive angling market that the Toyota Bass Classic and the Major League Fishing event calendar specifically targets in the north Texas suburban lake. Frisco, 15 miles southwest of Little Elm on US-380 in Collin County, is the home of the Dallas Cowboys' world headquarters and practice facility at The Star — a 91-acre mixed-use development anchored by the 12,000-seat Ford Center indoor arena, the Cowboys' training facility, and the Omni Frisco Hotel that gives the Frisco sports and entertainment complex the most complete NFL practice facility and fan experience campus in the league. The PGA of America's headquarters and golf courses at PGA Frisco give the Collin County suburb the professional golf destination that supplements the Cowboys' sports entertainment complex. Waterfront Hideaway Ranch serves guests year-round in Denton County's north Texas continental climate, where the mild winters sustain the year-round lake fishing and the spring and fall seasons provide the most comfortable temperatures for the Lewisville Lake recreation, the Little Elm park activities, and the DFW metropolitan area day trips. The North Texas Tollway Authority's Sam Rayburn Tollway and the Dallas North Tollway give the Little Elm location the practical expressway access to the DFW employment centers and entertainment venues that the suburban Denton County position on the lake's north shore enables in the 35-minute drive to downtown Dallas. Reserve sites ahead for the summer lake season peak and the DFW event weekends.
