Fantasy Island Campground occupies Packer Island in the Susquehanna River near Sunbury, Pennsylvania, offering 17 full-hookup back-in RV sites and two cabins with 30 and 50-amp service, cable TV, and rigs accepted to 42 feet. A single back-in category joins an outdoor pool, mini-golf, boat docks, clubhouse, and community fire pit. Seventeen back-in sites carry water, sewer, and electric with cable TV and site WiFi, sized to 42 feet, with fire pits. One consistent category and no guesswork. Two cabins and onsite RV rentals round out the lodging. A general store, restrooms, showers, and firewood handle the practical side. Two policies to plan around: extra vehicles beyond your RV and tow vehicle park in overflow rather than at the site, and there is a two-night minimum on weekends and three nights on holidays. An outdoor pool anchors the summer, with boat docks opening the river for boating, canoeing, kayaking, fishing, and swimming. Mini-golf, a clubhouse, sports courts, volleyball, basketball, and shuffleboard fill the rest. Pets are welcome. Being on a river island is the distinguishing feature and not something many campgrounds can claim. Packer Island sits in the Upper Susquehanna between the historic communities of Northumberland and Sunbury, with water on every side — the West Branch and the North Branch of the Susquehanna meet just upstream, forming the longest river on the East Coast. Shikellamy State Park's overlook is close, with Knoebels Amusement Resort a short drive east. Summer is decisively the season. Reserve well ahead for July and August, and plan around the weekend minimum.

Need to know

RV Site - Any extra vehicles beyond the RV and tow vehicle itself will be parked away from the site in the overflow parking. - There is a 2 night minimum on weekends and a 3 night minimum on July 4th, Memorial Day, and Labor Day. - We also rent boat slips by the day. - Please let us know in the 'Special Requests or Considerations' portion of your reservation if you are interested in renting one. - - We will reach out to you about availability and payment for the slip upon arrival. - If you're looking for somewhere that you can park your camper for the entire summer, give us a call about a seasonal site! Dock - Bring your boat or jet ski along to enjoy while you stay. We have docks available to rent for a day at a time. - Please check the water level on the day of your dock reservation, as conditions may vary. - You can check here: https://water.noaa.gov/gauges/sbyp1 Area Tips - We are located on the island between Sunbury and Northumberland, where both the North and West branches of the Susquehanna River conjoin. - This area of the river is referred to as Lake Augusta. - The 3,000-acre lake is formed with the inflation of the Adam T. Bower Memorial Dam each summer. - At 2,100 feet long, it is the world's largest inflatable dam. - The lake averages 7-8 feet in depth. - It is a popular area for water recreation, including boating, fishing, and swimming. - We are also close to Knoebels Amusement Park and Susquehanna University.

Rules

Check-In Procedure - Check-In 2 PM - Flexible - Check-Out 12 PM (noon) - RV Site Check-In: Begins at 1:00 PM. - Upon arrival, please stop by the office before heading to your site. - Cabin & RV Rental Check-In: Begins at 2 pm. - A refundable $50 deposit is required at check-in. - Check-Out Times: Cabins & RV Rentals: 11:00 AM RV Sites: 12:00 PM Thank you, and we look forward to your stay! - While each park attempts to accommodate your exact spot request, the on-site manager has the ultimate decision for spot placement. RV Rental - There will be an additional $50 security deposit due at Check-in. - The security deposit is refundable so long as there is no damage to the property. Images of the Grounds - Please note, we do take photos and videos during the season for use on our website, brochures, social media, etc. - By entering our campground you agree to be photographed and your image used for such purposes. Disorderly Conduct - Disorderly conduct, foul language, drunkenness, and any illegal matters, will lead to immediate eviction without refund. Respect Your Neighbors - Please be respectful of your neighbors. Vehicle Washing - No washing cars or campers on site. - Washing allowed in designated area only. - Fees apply. Trash Disposal - Please use the designated garbage dumpsters at the park entrance (campground-generated trash only). - Do not burn garbage. Take Care of Our Trees - Do not cut any trees. Fire Rings & Firewood - Do not move fire rings. - Burn only wood in the fire rings and no fires on the ground. - The State of Pennsylvania prohibits the transporting of wood from other states into Pa. - Due to the growing threat of tree-killing emerald ash borer and other harmful forest pests and diseases. (Firewood is for sale at the office.) Pet Policy - Pets are allowed but must be kept on a leash and cleaned up after them. - No pets allowed in any building (ie: office, rest-rooms, rec-room, cabin, etc.) or inside the pool area. - Any aggressive or threatening animals are not permitted in the campground. Guests - All day and overnight guests must register at the office and pay prevailing fees. - Campers are responsible for the actions of their guests. - Day visitors must leave by 10:00 P.M. or pay an overnight guest fee. Pool Rules - Children under 14 years old must be accompanied by an adult at all times when at the pool. (No lifeguard on duty - swim at your own risk.) - Children still in diapers must wear swim diapers when in the pool. Adult Supervision - All children must be back at their campsites by 10:00 P.M. unless accompanied by an adult. No Bikes After Dark - No bikes, scooters, hover-boards, etc. allowed after dark. River Walkway - River walkway is for authorized seasonal boat dock holders only. Do Not Cut Through Other Sites - Do not walk or ride bikes through other campsites. No Fireworks - No fireworks are permitted inside the park. Licensed Drivers - We do allow golf carts but you must have a valid driver's license to operate a golf cart in our campground. Keep the Campground Clean - Please keep campsites, rest-rooms, and facilities as clean as you found them. No Tent Stakes - Absolutely no tent stakes or spikes allowed in the ground. (Our water, electric, and cable lines all run underground.) No Subletting/Sharing Sites - One RV/camper per site. - No subletting of sites or campers. Campground Speed Limit - Speed limit is 5 MPH and is strictly enforced. Quiet Hours - Quiet hours are 11:00 P.M. - 8:00 A.M. Cancellation Policy

Fantasy Island Campground Cancellation Policy - All cancellations require a 20-day notice. - Deposits will be refunded, less a $10.00 service fee, if canceled prior to 20 days of arrival date. - Deposits will be forfeited for non-arrival or less than 20 day cancellation notice. - No refunds due to early departures, weather, acts of nature, or anything beyond our control - Note: All refund calculations exclude the RoverPass service fees and credit card processing, which are non-refundable. RoverPass Cancellation Policy - The platform and processing fees are non-refundable. - All Spot2Nite reservations require payment in full at the time of booking. - Please contact Spot2Nite to cancel a reservation via email to [email protected] or call (877)778-2683, Option 1. - Spot2Nite convenience fees and credit card processing fees are non-refundable.
