Beachside RV Park at Crystal Beach

Bolivar Peninsula, Texas

43 RV Sites

Positioned less than a ten-minute walk from the Gulf of Mexico on Highway 87 at Crystal Beach, Texas, Beachside RV Park at Crystal Beach gives guests some of the most direct coastline proximity available on the Bolivar Peninsula—a 27-mile barrier island stretching east from Galveston Bay that offers a low-key, uncrowded Gulf Coast beach experience distinct from the more developed resort communities on Galveston Island to the south. The park's gated grounds and strong on-site amenity package make it one of the more complete campground options for guests choosing the Bolivar Peninsula for a Texas Gulf Coast stay. Full-hookup RV sites with electrical service, water, and sewer connections serve as the campground's primary accommodation, and additional amenities include a pool, hot tub, clean restrooms and showers, a laundry facility, a general store, propane sales, volleyball courts, and horseshoe pits. Free Wi-Fi is available throughout the gated grounds, and the pet-friendly property welcomes dogs, reflecting the casual, family-owned coastal character common to well-regarded Bolivar Peninsula campgrounds. The campground's combination of beach-walk proximity and on-site social amenities makes it a productive option for guests planning multi-night stays along this stretch of the Texas Gulf Coast. Crystal Beach's Gulf shoreline provides some of the most accessible and underutilized beachfront in Texas—broad, drive-on beaches that have long attracted Texas families with trucks, campers, and fishing gear looking for a casual coastal experience without the congestion of Port Aransas or South Padre Island during peak season. The inshore and nearshore fishing on the Bolivar Peninsula is consistently productive, with trout, flounder, redfish, and crabs available to surf casters and wade fishermen working the shoreline and flats on both the Gulf side and Galveston Bay side of the peninsula throughout the warm months. The Galveston-Bolivar Ferry, operated by TxDOT as a free crossing of the Galveston Channel, connects the Bolivar Peninsula directly to Galveston Island and provides day-trip access to Galveston's historic Strand district, the Moody Center aquarium, Pleasure Pier, and the 32-mile seawall that anchors the city's beach resort infrastructure. Galveston Island State Park, accessible after the ferry crossing on the island's western end, provides hiking, birding, kayaking, and nature-oriented beach access in a setting more natural and less commercially developed than the hotel district near the seawall. The Anahuac National Wildlife Refuge on the mainland side of the peninsula also provides exceptional shorebird and waterfowl observation for guests interested in coastal ecology. Beachside RV Park at Crystal Beach operates through the warmer Gulf Coast camping season, with spring and early summer representing the peak window for comfortable beach conditions before the most intense heat and humidity of a Texas Gulf summer sets in during July and August. The park's gated and managed character provides a reliable security environment for guests leaving their rigs to spend the day on the beach, and the crystal-clear Gulf water, abundant fishing access, and uncrowded Crystal Beach shoreline make a multi-night stay here a strong value proposition for Texas coast camping enthusiasts.
