Little Pond Mountain Campground in Hampton, Tennessee, offers 19 full-hookup RV sites with 20, 30, and 50-amp service, sized for rigs up to 45 feet on a big-rig-friendly layout at the base of Roan Mountain in the upper Doe River valley. Nineteen back-in sites include water, sewer, electric service, fire pits, picnic tables, and site Wi-Fi. A bathhouse with restrooms and showers, laundry facilities, and Starlink Wi-Fi provide convenient comforts. Tent sites and a loft cabin offer additional accommodation options. One vehicle is allowed per site, with an extra vehicle fee of $1 per night upon arrival. A ball field and basketball are available on the grounds. Boating, fishing, canoeing, kayaking, snorkeling, hiking, and biking are available in the area, with off-roading and a golf course nearby. The cold, clear mountain streams around Roan Mountain offer excellent wild trout fishing. Pets are welcome. Hampton sits in Carter County near Cherokee National Forest, the Appalachian Trail, and Watauga Lake. The campground is open year-round, with the June rhododendron bloom and October foliage among the most popular times to visit.
