Fair Point Marina in Fair Haven, New York, offers cottage accommodations and full-hookup sites at a working marina on Little Sodus Bay, with boat docks, boat storage, a beach, on-site dining, and live music. The natural harbor opens onto Lake Ontario's southern shore in one of the region's most protected anchorages.

Cottage lodging and full-hookup sites serve guests, with laundry, a dump station, restrooms, showers, and a general store handling the practical side. WiFi reaches the property, and a clubhouse rounds out the facilities. Boat storage is available — genuinely useful at a property where most guests arrive with a boat or intend to spend their days on one. Pets are welcome.

The marina is the identity here. Boat docks give direct access to Little Sodus Bay and out to Lake Ontario, with boating, fishing, and swimming from the property and a beach on site. On-site dining and live music create a waterfront resort atmosphere rooted in the boating and lakeside social culture that Fair Haven has sustained since the nineteenth century. Biking runs from the area, with a state park, golf course, wine tasting, and skiing all nearby.

Fair Haven sits in Cayuga County, where the natural harbor that has sheltered Great Lakes boaters for generations meets one of the Finger Lakes region's most naturally beautiful freshwater coastal communities.

The boating season is short and concentrated on Lake Ontario. Summer is decisively the peak — reserve well ahead for July and August.

Arrowhead RV Resort at Smith Lake in Crane Hill, Alabama, offers 39 full-hookup RV sites on the shoreline, with 30 and 50-amp service and rigs accepted to 45 feet. Lakeside back-in and pull-in categories join an outdoor pool, boat ramp, walking trails, food trucks, and on-site dining.

Thirty-nine sites run in lakeside back-in and pull-in categories, both carrying water, sewer, and electric on 30 and 50-amp with site WiFi, sized to 45 feet. Two straightforward categories keep booking simple, and the lakeside designation tells you what you are getting. Cabins round out the lodging. A laundry, showers, and on-site dining handle the practical side.

A boat ramp opens the lake for boating, fishing, and swimming, with an outdoor pool, walking trails, playground, dog park, and food trucks filling the rest. Pets are welcome.

Directions to 761 County Road 941: from I-65, take County Road 222 east about 16 miles, then right on County Road 941 for 1.1 miles.

Smith Lake is one of the clearest and deepest natural-looking lakes in the Southeast — a 21,000-acre Cullman County reservoir with crystalline water and more than 500 miles of forested shoreline, and its clarity is genuinely unusual for the region. The striped bass and spotted bass fishing draws anglers from across Alabama, and the deep water makes it a favorite for boating and swimming when shallower southern lakes turn warm and murky.

Summer lake season drives the heaviest demand, with spring and fall fishing strong and the most comfortable conditions. Reserve well ahead for warm-weather weekends.

Unhitched Arrowhead RV Park

Unhitched Cullman in Alabama offers 69 full-hookup RV sites across 40 acres of countryside minutes from I-65, with 30 and 50-amp service and rigs accepted up to 100 feet. Pull-through categories at both amperages join back-in sites, with an outdoor pool, recreation center, pond, and farm animals roaming the grounds.

Sixty-nine sites span back-in, pull-thru, pull-thru 30-amp, and pull-thru 50-amp categories, all carrying water, sewer, and electric with site WiFi, sized to 100 feet. One hundred feet accommodates anything on the road with room to spare — a genuine advantage on a corridor where most options are tight interstate lots. Cabins round out the lodging. A general store, laundry, restrooms, showers, and propane fills handle the practical side.

An outdoor pool anchors the warm months, with a recreation center, playground, walking trails, dog park, shuffleboard, and horseshoes filling the grounds. A pond supports fishing. The farm animals on the property are the detail guests mention first — it makes the place feel nothing like the concrete pads of the travel plazas up the road. Pets are welcome.

Cullman sits midway along I-65 between Birmingham and Huntsville in the rolling hills of North Alabama. Smith Lake — one of the largest and cleanest lakes in the state, with some of its best fishing — is minutes away, the town is known regionally for antiquing, and Cullman County has a deep bench of nature parks.

Spring and fall bring the most comfortable North Alabama conditions, with summer drawing lake traffic. Reserve ahead for holiday weekends.

Long, full hop-up pull-through sites only a couple of miles off of I65. Our dogs love their dog park and we love their excellent wifi.

I'd definitely stay here again.

Lake Moultrie RV Park and Marina in Cross, South Carolina, is a waterfront camping destination under a lush tree canopy in Berkeley County — a campground with tiny home cabins and spacious RV sites on Lake Moultrie, the Santee Cooper reservoir that covers 60,000 acres of the South Carolina coastal plain between Charleston and Columbia in the most extensive freshwater impoundment in South Carolina. The park's marina access and the waterfront positioning under the tree canopy give guests the Lake Moultrie experience that the Santee Cooper Lakes system specifically provides — the combination of the freshwater fishing for striped bass, catfish, and crappie that Lake Moultrie sustains and the direct boat access that the on-site marina enables give fishing and boating guests the seamless water recreation that a lake-based marina campground specifically delivers. The lake's Berkeley County position makes it accessible for the Charleston weekend market.

Three tiny home cabins with accommodation for up to four guests alongside spacious RV sites give Lake Moultrie RV Park the complete accommodation range for varied visitor groups — the tiny home cabin format gives the couple or small family without camping equipment the lake cabin experience at a scale and price point that full-service resort cabins rarely provide, and the RV sites' spacious layout gives larger rigs the comfortable setup access that tight campground designs consistently limit. The waterfront tree canopy gives the campground its natural shade and visual character through the warm-season camping months. Pets are welcome.

Lake Moultrie, the western reservoir of the Santee Cooper hydroelectric project completed in 1941 in Berkeley, Dorchester, and Orangeburg Counties, covers 60,000 acres of the coastal plain's pine flatwoods and was created by diking a natural drainage basin rather than damming a river — a construction method that gave Lake Moultrie its characteristic shallow, flat-bottomed character and the extensive flooded timber structure that sustains the striped bass and catfish populations that make it one of the most productive striped bass lakes in the South Atlantic coastal states. The lake's rediversion canal connecting Lake Marion to the north gives the Santee Cooper system its flow from the Santee River basin.

The Francis Marion National Forest, east of Lake Moultrie in Berkeley and Charleston Counties, protects 258,000 acres of South Carolina Lowcountry longleaf pine savanna and blackwater river swamp that the Francis Marion unit of the national forest system has sustained since 1936 in the most extensive public land block in the South Carolina coastal plain. The forest's Palmetto Trail, the blackwater paddling of the Wambaw Creek Wilderness, and the winter red-cockaded woodpecker population give the Francis Marion its specific natural character distinct from the developed Lowcountry of the Charleston resort corridor immediately to the east.

Lake Moultrie RV Park and Marina serves guests year-round in Berkeley County's subtropical coastal plain climate, where the spring striped bass run from March through May represents the most concentrated fishing demand on Lake Moultrie and the fall striped bass feeding season from September through November provides the second peak angling window. Charleston, 50 miles southeast of Cross on U.S. 176 and I-26, provides the Colonial-era historic district, the Boone Hall Plantation, and the Fort Sumter National Monument's harbor tour that extend the Berkeley County campground's day-trip range into the most historically significant and most architecturally complete port city in the antebellum South. Reserve sites and cabins ahead for the spring striper run and the Charleston-area spring and fall travel seasons.

Accessible sites are available, and the waterfront category is the one to request. Tiny home cabin rentals round out the lodging. Unhitched Nashville North in Goodlettsville, Tennessee, offers 73 full-hookup RV sites with 20, 30, and 50-amp service and rigs accepted to 45 feet, in the northern Nashville metro corridor. Buddy sites at both 30 and 50-amp join back-in, pull-in, and water-and-electric pull-through categories, with an outdoor pool, playground, and dog park.

Seventy-three sites span back-in 30-amp, back-in 50-amp, pull-in 50-amp, pull-thru 30-amp buddy, pull-thru 30-amp water-and-electric, and pull-thru 50-amp buddy categories, carrying water, sewer, and electric where noted with site WiFi, sized to 45 feet, with fire pits and picnic tables. The buddy sites are built for two rigs traveling together, which is unusual to find at both amperages. Confirm your tier, as the water-and-electric category does not carry sewer at the site. A general store, laundry, propane fills, restrooms, showers, and firewood handle the practical side.

An outdoor pool anchors the warm months, with shuffleboard, a playground, pavilion, and dog park filling the grounds. The amenity set is practical rather than resort-scale, which keeps rates reasonable for guests whose real agenda is Nashville. Pets are welcome.

Staff is wonderful and we appreciated the free shuttle in and out of Nashville. Bathrooms clean.

Staff was great, facilities are clean but the pull through sites are super tight and you are practically up next to your neighbors

Thanks to everyone… had bad weather on a travel day they work work two get two pull-thru sites open up for our families to stop, enjoy the night and get back on the road rested.

Clean facilities and play grounds for kids to enjoy.

We had forgotten there was an hour difference from where we came from, so we were an hour early. Lady in office said we had to leave for 1 hour and come back at 2pm, or we could check you in early for extra $25. I asked if we could park here for 1 hrs she said no ,you leave for 1 hour or early ck in for extra 25 dollars. Was many empty spots , but she put me in a spot with full hookup (which we stayed in all nite ) for $95 .. not very accommodating.

Booked this park based on GoodSam ratings.. how in the world they were that high I do not understand. The park was very run-down. The roads had massive potholes. Seemed like a majority of the park sites were live-ins. There were aggressive dogs running around unleashed, which made us very uneasy when walking our dog. I suggest looking elsewhere.

Unhitched Garcon Point in Milton, Florida, offers 35 full-hookup RV sites in the longleaf pine country of Santa Rosa County, with 30 and 50-amp service and rigs accepted to 50 feet. Directions to 3700 Garcon Point Road: from I-10 east or west, take the Milton exit and head south.

The setting is genuinely piney-woods inland Florida rather than beachfront, and that is the appeal — quieter and considerably less expensive, with the Gulf beaches of Pensacola and Navarre minutes away by car. Garcon Point itself juts into Pensacola Bay and the Blackwater estuary, with the Blackwater River State Forest, one of the largest remaining longleaf pine tracts in the country, just north.

Spring break and summer beach traffic drive the sharpest demand on the Panhandle, with mild winters drawing snowbirds. Reserve well ahead for March through August.

I wanted to share some concerns regarding the women’s bathroom facilities during our recent stay. While I understand that repairs or renovations may be necessary from time to time, we were not informed of any ongoing work in our reservation or check-in communication.

There was no lighting in the shower stall area, making it difficult and unsafe to use. Additionally, the curtain rod in the women’s shower stall was positioned too low—I bumped my head while entering, and there were no signs warning of this hazard. There was also no bench or surface to place shower bags or clothing, which made things very inconvenient.

After traveling over 3,500 miles from Canada, this was unfortunately the most disappointing bathroom experience of our trip. One of the toilets also rocked when I sat on it, which raised further safety concerns.

Please consider improving communication with guests regarding facility repairs and take steps to ensure the bathrooms are safe and functional.

Time Away RV Resort in Lincoln, Alabama, offers 98 full-hookup pull-through RV sites with 30 and 50-amp service and rigs accepted up to 100 feet — exceptional capacity, and every site is a pull-through. Ninety-eight pull-through sites carry water, sewer, and electric on 30 and 50-amp, sized to 100 feet, with picnic tables. An all-pull-through layout at 100 feet is rare and genuinely useful — no backing at any site, and room for the longest coach with a tow. A general store, laundry, restrooms, and showers handle the practical side. The owners are updating the shower houses and adding cabins and tiny homes.

An outdoor pool with a sunning deck anchors the property, with a basketball half court, walking trails, playground, pavilion, and dog park filling the grounds. Cabins are available. Pets are welcome.

Talladega Superspeedway is the draw and the reason to book early. Race weekends fill the park and the entire region — reserve as far ahead as you can for the spring and fall NASCAR dates. Outside those weekends, spring and fall deliver the most comfortable Alabama conditions and availability is far easier.

Twenty minutes north of downtown Nashville in the community of Goodlettsville, Owl's Roost Campground provides a clean, well-managed base camp for travelers who want full hookup RV accommodations within straightforward striking distance of one of America's great music and entertainment cities. While the campground's setting is suburban rather than scenic—the practical appeal of proximity over landscape—it functions exactly as advertised: a quiet, secure facility with good infrastructure that allows guests to wake up in the morning and spend the day doing Nashville without the expense or hassle of urban parking and lodging. For country music pilgrims, honky-tonk enthusiasts, and anyone with unfinished business in Music City, Owl's Roost delivers the essential advantage.

Full hookup sites with 30 and 50-amp service accommodate rigs up to 50 feet in length, with pull-through configurations that make arrival and departure stress-free. A shower house, laundry room, camp store, on-site manager, and dump station cover the practical needs of an extended stay, and the campground's pet-friendly policy keeps traveling dogs welcome throughout the property. The team at Owl's Roost consistently earns praise for attentiveness and for maintaining the kind of clean, orderly facility that makes returning guests plan specifically around coming back. WiFi is available for guests who need connectivity between Nashville excursions.

Goodlettsville's position in the northern Nashville metro area puts the campground within easy reach of multiple Nashville neighborhoods and attractions via I-65 south. The drive to downtown on a non-peak-traffic morning takes well under 30 minutes, making it realistic to arrive for a late breakfast in the Gulch, spend the day on Lower Broadway, and return to the campground for a late dinner without excessive road time. The community of Goodlettsville itself offers immediate access to restaurants, grocery stores, and the everyday services that make extended stays practical.

Nashville's attractions need little introduction but reward thorough exploration. The Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum is among the most impressive music-dedicated museums in the world, and the Ryman Auditorium—the original home of the Grand Ole Opry—is a pilgrimage site for anyone who takes American roots music seriously. Lower Broadway's honky-tonk row delivers live music from early afternoon well into the night, and the city's broader dining and nightlife scene has earned Nashville national recognition as one of America's most vibrant mid-sized cities. The full Grand Ole Opry experience at its current home in the Opryland complex, just east of downtown, is a classic Nashville evening that rewards first-time visitors and long-time fans equally.

Owl's Roost Campground is open year-round, and Nashville's year-round event calendar—including CMA Fest in June, the Americana Music Festival in September, and major sporting events at Bridgestone Arena and Nissan Stadium—creates strong demand across every season. Summer and holiday weekends book well in advance, and reservations are essential for any major Nashville event weekend. Whether you're making a dedicated Nashville music trip or simply routing through Tennessee on a longer journey, Owl's Roost provides the right combination of location, value, and practical comfort. Book your site and let Nashville do the rest.

The Backyard RV Resort in Montgomery, Alabama, provides a comfortable and conveniently located full hookup camping destination in the Alabama River city that serves as the state capital, positioning guests in a city of profound historical significance where the Civil Rights Movement's pivotal moments and the antebellum South's political center converge in a community now working to engage its complex history through a growing cultural institution landscape. The resort's lake setting and practical amenity package serve both short-term transit travelers on the US-231 and I-65 corridors and extended-stay guests working in Montgomery's government, military, and healthcare sectors.

The resort's on-site lake provides fishing and scenic water views that distinguish the property from the typical highway-adjacent commercial campground, and the full hookup sites with big-rig-friendly configurations serve the large motorhomes common among extended-stay and snowbird visitors. A dog park, pavilion, community fire pit, laundry, showers, Wi-Fi, dump station, and propane fills complete the service roster for multi-day stays, and the pet-friendly atmosphere welcomes the traveling companions that RV guests who spend extended periods in Alabama consistently bring with them. The resort's residential character makes it comfortable for both short transit stops and multi-week stays.

Montgomery's significance in American history is concentrated in a few blocks of the downtown where the Civil Rights Memorial and Center, the Rosa Parks Museum at the site of the 1955 bus boycott's initiation, the Dexter Avenue King Memorial Baptist Church, and the National Memorial for Peace and Justice—the country's first memorial to the victims of racial terror lynching—form a civil rights heritage corridor of extraordinary depth and honesty. The Alabama State Capitol, where Jefferson Davis was inaugurated as President of the Confederacy in 1861, stands at the head of Dexter Avenue a short walk from the Dexter Avenue King church in a juxtaposition that captures the full weight of Montgomery's layered history.

The Montgomery Museum of Fine Arts, the Hank Williams Museum celebrating Alabama's most celebrated country music icon, and the Alabama Shakespeare Festival—one of the largest Shakespeare festival companies in the United States with a permanent theater complex in Blount Cultural Park—provide cultural programming that gives Montgomery significantly more arts and heritage depth than its size alone would suggest. Maxwell Air Force Base and Gunter Annex, two Air Force installations within Montgomery city limits, generate consistent extended-stay demand from military personnel and civilian contractors that the resort's full hookup infrastructure is positioned to serve. The Gulf Shores beaches are approximately three hours south on I-65.

The Backyard RV Resort operates year-round in Montgomery's subtropical climate, where mild winters attract snowbird visitors and the spring and fall shoulder seasons deliver the most comfortable temperatures for exploring the city's outdoor and heritage attractions on foot. Summer's heat and humidity concentrate the most enjoyable outdoor activity in early morning hours, but the lake's natural setting and the resort's dog park provide morning and evening activity for guests staying through the warmer months. The combination of cultural depth, military demand, and transit positioning makes the resort viable across all seasons and all guest types seeking Montgomery-area camping.

Lake Hartwell is one of the Southeast's premier reservoir destinations — 56,000 acres and 963 miles of shoreline on the Savannah River basin, straddling the South Carolina-Georgia border in the Blue Ridge foothills, with striped bass and largemouth fishing that draws anglers from three states.

Summer lake season drives the heaviest demand, with spring and fall fishing strong and far easier availability. Reserve well ahead for warm-weather weekends and holiday periods.
