Cherry Hill Campground

Darien Center, New York

12 RV Sites, 1 Cabin, 33 Tent Sites, 4 Glamping Sites

Cherry Hill Campground in Darien Center, New York, offers 12 RV sites without hookups, a cabin, 33 tent sites, and four glamping sites directly across from Darien Lake Theme Park, with rigs accepted to 40 feet. A single no-hookup RV category joins shaded tent and cabin sites a half mile from the park entrance. Twelve sites are RV no-hookup throughout, sized to 40 feet, with fire pits and picnic tables. Plan accordingly — these are self-contained sites without utilities, so arrive with full water and empty tanks. One consistent category means no guesswork, and the pricing reflects what you are getting. A cabin, 33 tent sites, and four glamping sites make this predominantly a tent property. A general store, restrooms, showers, firewood, and recycling handle the practical side. Walking trails, hiking, horseshoes, volleyball, and picnicking fill the grounds, with live music and planned activities through the season. Wine and beer tasting and a golf course are nearby. Pets are welcome. The position is the entire proposition and it is a strong one. Darien Lake Theme Park and its concert amphitheater sit about a half mile from the campground on Sumner Road, with a good view of the park from the property — close enough that families can come and go through the day without paying resort parking, and close enough to hear the show. Letchworth State Park's Genesee River gorge is a short drive south, with Buffalo, Rochester, and Niagara Falls all within an hour. Summer drives demand entirely, tracking the theme park and concert calendar. Reserve well ahead for June through August and for show dates.

Need to know

FAQs How close are you to Darien Lake Theme Park & Concert Venue? - We are about a ½ mile from the main entrance of the theme park, we are on Sumner Road and have a great view of the park (and nightly fireworks!) Can I walk to the Six Flags theme park and the concert venue? - Darien Lake has a no pedestrian policy. - This means that they require everyone entering their venue to be in a vehicle. - If you decide to drive, your concert ticket includes free parking at Darien Lake. - This is a Six Flags policy, not a Cherry Hill regulation. - If you have any questions about it, please give them a call for more details. - On concert days, there are usually taxis that come to the campground and will make trips back and forth for a reasonable price. - The taxis are very quick, and you can share the ride with others going to the concert. Lyft, Uber, and other rideshare drivers are not permitted into the campground. Do you have electricity & water on the campsites? - No, our campsites are all rustic; none of them have electric or water/sewer hookups. - We have beautiful shaded, spacious campsites primarily geared toward tent camping. - When campers come with RVs, they either dry camp, work off a battery, solar panels, or use a quiet closed-frame generator (less than 60 decibels). - We have potable water at convenient locations around the campground, and we also have a dump station. - There are electric receptacles at the restrooms near the washer & dryer and the pop machine. Can I use a generator? - Only closed-frame inverter generators are permitted; no open-frame generators. - Generators louder than 60 decibels are not permitted. - Generators are not to be used during quiet hours or for extended periods of time. Do you have to be 21 or older to reserve a campsite? - Each site must be registered & occupied by someone aged 21 years. - Or an older person who will be accountable for all people at the site. - We do sometimes make exceptions to this policy with some restrictions. Do you sell firewood? Can we bring firewood with us? - We sell firewood here at a very reasonable price, $8 per rack. - By transporting firewood, you could be spreading diseases and invasive insects that can quickly kill large numbers of trees. - For this reason, we no longer allow outside firewood except for kiln-dried, store-packaged wood. Do you have toilets and showers? - We have modern, individual restrooms with flush toilets. - Our hot showers are free, no tokens or quarters to mess with! How many people can be on a campsite? - There is a maximum of 4 adults per campsite, and a total maximum of 8 people, including children.
