Frequently Asked Questions Cabins & Camping FAQs What is your cancellation policy? - There is a $15 processing fee…period! - You are able to cancel your reservation 30 days prior to your arrival and receive your money back with the exception of the $15 processing fee. - Anytime after that 30 days, your reservation will not be able to be refunded. - We understand that things do happen, and in the event of an emergency, we will work with you to RESCHEDULE your stay within the same calendar year. - If you have questions about our cancellation policy, please do not hesitate to contact our front desk staff @ 231-947-2770. What time is check-in and check-out? - You may check in to your site or cabin rental at 3:00 pm. - Check out for cabins at 11 am; campsites may check out at noon. - If you do not check out on time, there will be a $25 late fee for checkout for campsites and $50 for lodging. - If you do not check out by 3:00 pm from both campsites and lodging, you will be charged another night of stay at full price while still required to depart the park. What type of deposit do you require? - On non-holiday stays, we require a 2-night deposit at the time your reservation is made. - For holiday stays, we require the sum of a 3-night deposit at the time you make your reservation. - Online reservations require the entire cost of your stay to be collected at the time the reservation is made. I have a pop-up trailer. Can I still camp at your park? - We allow all types of rigs, no matter the shape or size. - Campers come in RVs, Fifth Wheels, pop-ups, and tents to visit our park, so please feel free to join us! Is your park “big rig and slide-out friendly”? - Yes, our sites are very spacious and can accommodate large RVs with up to four slide-outs comfortably. - Please mention slides at the time of reservation so that we place you on a size-appropriate site! Do you have a full hookup? 50-amp sites? - All of our sites are full hookup sites. - You do have the option to choose between 50 and 30-amp sites. - We do not have rustic sites. - Most of our campsites are pull-throughs, making your parking job a lot easier! Can I bring my dog? - Yes. Timber Ridge Resort is pet-friendly, but we ask that you notify us in advance if you will be bringing your pet. - Please do not leave your pet unattended, and please be a responsible pet owner and clean up after your furry friend. - If you are staying in a cabin, there is an additional $10 per night/dog fee. Are you offering any special rates? - Check out our home or Facebook page for the most up-to-date deals or special event weekends. What if I run out of propane or kitchen staples? - We have a propane-filling station and a camp store on site. - Our store carries kitchen necessities such as food, firewood, gadgets, RV accessories, gifts, and other merchandise. - We also have a goody shop with tasty treats and savory eats. - Just visit the lodge and we’ll set you up with what you need! Can I stay overnight in the park in the winter months? - Even though we may have snow and a portion of our park is closed for the winter, many of our cabins are open and ready to welcome you for your winter getaway. - We have access to fantastic cross-country skiing, snowshoeing, snow bike riding, and snowmobiling – right from your cabin’s front door! - Enjoy our off-season rates and bring the crew for a special winter stay! Can I have visitors and/or overnight guests? Is there a charge? - Guests are allowed to visit and spend the night. - Guests must check in at the front desk in the lodge and pay a small fee of $5.00 each/per day. I have a huge family, and we’d love to host our annual reunion at Timber Ridge. Is this possible? - Timber Ridge would be thrilled to host any family, group, church, office, or other gathering or event. - With our banquet facility and outdoor tents located in a gorgeous wooded setting, we can help to create any atmosphere you’ll like, whether it is a casual or elegant affair. - Your guests can stay right on the property in one of our cabins or in their own RV or Fifth Wheel. - Just call (231) 947-2270 to discuss your options. After a long day of fun, I sometimes don’t feel like cooking. Is there a nearby restaurant or pizza delivery? - Our goody shop features sweet treats like ice cream and candy and traditional refreshments like nachos, pizza, and chicken tenders. - We’re also just minutes from local restaurants—all with delicious dishes! Stop by the lodge to grab a quick bite or for menus and valuable coupons. - Or skim through the front desk’s concierge book. There are even restaurant ads on your park map, so we’re sure you’ll find a great meal option. When I’m on vacation, I like peace and quiet. Is this the park for me? - Bordering the Pere Marquette State Forest allows for a peaceful atmosphere. - We do offer families an assortment of activities, however, we also understand that not all of our guests want to participate. - If you would prefer to stay overnight in a site that is more remote, just let us know when you make your reservations. - We will do our best to make sure that you are satisfied with your site location. I live in the neighborhood, can I come visit and use your amenities? - Before you come, we ask that you call ahead of time to see if we are at capacity. - If we are not, a $8 per person day pass fee is required if you are not a guest in the park. Lodge & Banquet Facility FAQs I’d like to hold both my wedding ceremony and reception at Timber Ridge. Can you accommodate both events? - Of course, you can! We have our indoor banquet facility with a beautiful stone fireplace where you can hold your wedding or reception. - Plus, Timber Ridge has a quaint covered bridge and acres of beautiful wooded land for gorgeous outdoor ceremonies and photo opportunities. - In addition, guests can now rent our large and spacious event Yurt, which can seat 86 guests comfortably in a quaint, rustic setting. I would like to bring my own alcohol for my event. Must I hire a professional to serve it? - We expect that you would want your guests to be responsible drinkers, and to help keep your event under control in regard to alcohol, we ask that all event planners provide a professional bartender or responsible individual to serve your alcohol. - This server must also monitor the guests’ alcohol intake. Can we cook our own food for our event, or do we have to hire a caterer? - With our large kitchen in the banquet hall, guests have long been their own caterers. - So bring your family recipes and prepare them onsite. - Just make sure to plan on bringing all the necessary cookware, serving platters, utensils, tableware, and food storage gear. - We also have a gas grill available for rental if you choose to barbecue. - You may also hire a caterer if that is your preference! What time do we need to vacate the hall? - Arrangements must be made at the time of booking. - Midnight should be “closing time” for your event. - If there is no other event scheduled in the banquet facility for the following day, you may be allowed to clean the hall the day after your event. - Again, a schedule for clean-up must be made in advance. I’d like to plan a large RV rally or group event in your park, but I will need access to a group facility. Is the banquet facility available for our use? - Yes. We work individually with RV groups other clubs, and large groups on the use of the banquet facility. Trail & Seasonal Sports FAQs Do I have to pay a fee to access the ski /snowshoe and snow bike trails? - Because Timber Ridge must groom and maintain these trails year-round, a small fee is charged. - Daily or annual passes are available for purchase. If you are not open during the ski season on certain days, can I still access the trails? - No. Because Timber Ridge is private property, we ask that the public does not trespass. - However, we have just ONE exception: If you have purchased a season trail pass, you may access our trails and lodge when conditions allow, as you have paid for that privilege. I enjoy mountain biking, but I’m more of a beginner. Can I still ride the trails? - Simply put, yes. - We encourage riders of all skill levels to enjoy the trails. - The Timber Ridge and VASA trails present a wide array of challenges for experts and “newbies”. - You can even test your skills on a new addition to the park: our mountain bike terrain course. If I am not an overnight guest at the resort, do I have to pay a fee to access the trails for hiking and biking? - We do not currently charge a fee for use of our trails during warmer-weather months. - However, you must check in at the front desk to notify our staff that you will be enjoying our trails. Emergency - Park-related after-hours emergency, please call (231) 620-5422 (P.S.- the Wifi being down is not an emergency).

Rules

Check-In Procedure - Check-In is 3:00 pm. - Check-out is 12:00 pm and 11:00 am for cabins. - Early arrival and late departure (when available) will be assessed additional charges. - Early check-in and check-out for campsites (when available) is $25 each way. - Early check-in for lodging (when available) is $25, and a late check-out for lodging (when available) is $50. - Failure to depart your campsite or lodging accommodation by 3:00 pm will result in charges equivalent to an additional night stay but still with the requirement that you must leave your campsite or lodging accommodation. - While each park attempts to accommodate your exact spot request, the on-site manager has the ultimate decision for spot placement. Quiet Hours - Quiet time is 11:00 pm. - Please be considerate of your neighbors. - Quiet hours will be enforced, and children 17 and under must be on-site and under parental supervision. - Excessive noise or loud parties will not be allowed. Visiting Hours - Visiting hours are from 10:00 am – 10:00 pm. Lodge and Store Hours - Monday to Sunday: 9:00 am- 9:00 pm. Garbage and Recycling - Please drop in designated dumpsters near the park entrance. - The dumpster locations are just north of the main lodge. - Failure to leave your garbage in the designated dumpsters and all over your site will result in additional charges for our staff to clean up your mess. - Please note that garbage and recycling facilities are for registered guests only and that illegal dumping will be prosecuted. - A $10.00 fee will be charged to your credit card if you leave trash in your fire pit or on your site. - Garbage should be placed in plastic bags and deposited in the dumpsters at the front of the park. Pet Policy - We are a pet-friendly park, but we ask you to think of your neighbors and not leave your pets unattended. - Also, if you are planning to stay in a cabin with your pet, you will first need to call Timber Ridge to make sure that your dog doesn’t exceed size restrictions for our cabins. - There is an additional charge of $10 per night/per pet for your pet when staying in our cabins. And finally, don’t ruin it for everyone else. - Please be considerate and clean up after your pooch. Minimum Stay - Your reservation may be subject to our minimum stay policy. - Please contact customer service for the specific details of your reservation. Parking Policy - One RV plus two vehicles are permitted per site. - For the safety of all, RV’s and vehicles must not protrude from your site. - Parking on vacant sites is prohibited. - Additional vehicles must park in the overflow lot & must register with the park office. - Do not drive or park on concrete patios. Speed Limit - The speed Limit is 10 mph on the park property. - Please use caution when driving! Golf Cart Policy - No one under the age of 18 may operate a golf cart (either rented or privately owned) while at our park! - A valid driver’s license and proof of insurance are also required for anyone 18 years and older to operate a golf cart while in the park (either rented or privately owned). Mails and Personal Messages - Personal messages, mail drop off, and pick up are available in the park office. Campsite - One RV/Family of 5 per site (2 adults and 3 dependent children). - Must be a minimum of 21 years old to register. - Additional adults or more than 3 children per site will be assessed an additional fee of $5.00/person/night. - Only 6 bodies are allowed on one site! - Keep your site free of debris, cans, bottles, and other litter. - Dumpsters and recycling facilities are located just north of the main Lodge. - No storage under RV unit. - Except for swimsuits and towels, please do not hang your laundry outside your RV to dry. Campfires - Campfires are allowed in site fire rings only. - Do not move rings. - Do not leave campfires unattended. - Please extinguish fires before retiring or leaving the site. Sewer Connection - Protective sewer connectors are required on all sewer hookups. Neighbors - Be considerate. - Please do not walk through your neighbor’s site. Children Policy - Parents are responsible for their children’s safety, conduct, actions, and any damage they may cause. - Minor children (under 18) must have a parent or legal adult guardian in the park at all times - Minor children (under 18) must be on their site by 11 pm unless accompanied by an adult! - No playing in restrooms, parks, or facility buildings. - Any damages caused by minors in your care will be your responsibility. Pet Policy - Pets are allowed at the sole discretion of management, with a maximum of 2 (non-aggressive) pets per site. - Pets must be leashed at all times (maximum 10 feet) and not left unattended. - If a pet is creating a disturbance, nuisance, or threat, you will be asked to remove the pet from Timber Ridge property. - Please clean up after your pet immediately & dispose of it at a dumpster in front of the park or one of the many Dogi-Pot stations. Visitors - Park property is for registered guests only. - Upon arrival, all visitors must register at the park office in the lodge and pay a visitor’s fee. - Visitors will not be given gate passes into the park. - Visitor vehicles may park in our overflow lot. - Children 17 and under and Day Pass Visitors must wear a wrist band at all times while on Timber Ridge property. - Visitor’s fees will be refunded if the stay is shorter than 30 minutes in duration. - Park guests may pre-pay for visitors; however, they will still need to check in at the office upon arrival. - Visitors may NOT bring pets onto the property. - Unregistered guests are trespassers and will be treated as such. Visitor Pass - Children ages 4 and under are free. - Children ages 5 – 17: $5.00/day. $8/day without staying guest. - 18 and over $5.00/day with staying guest. $8/day without staying guest. - Children ages 5-17 and Day Pass Visitors must wear wristbands at all times. - In order to be permitted access to our property, visitors must register at the lodge and agree to and sign a copy of the park rules. - Visitors also must park in our overflow lot. - Gate cards are not given to visitors! - Unregistered visitors will be treated as trespassers and will be asked to leave. Swimming Pool and Lake Policy - Swimming Lake and Pool – no lifeguard on duty! - Rules and hours are posted in the swimming areas. - Swimming lake and pool are for registered guests and registered visitors only. - Life Jackets are REQUIRED for children and adults playing on the inflatables. - No diving, running, rough play, glass containers, smoking, or pets in swimming areas. - No wet or dripping swimsuits allowed in the park office. - Proper swimming attire must be worn at all times. - No jean cutoffs allowed. Prohibited Act - Use of generators, chain saws; bike riding after dark, jumping or climbing park fences or trees. - Tree cutting of any kind (dead or alive); clotheslines. - Skateboards, scooters, go-carts, unless pre-registered at the office. - Carts and scooters are allowed on park roads only. - ORV’s may not be ridden in the park unless exiting the back gate to enter ORV trails must be pushed to the site after quiet time. - Possession of or discharge of firecrackers, fireworks, or firearms. - Mechanical work done on-site. - Permission is required prior to third-party service work at your site. Smoking Policy - Smoking in any building, cabin, facility, or pool area; discarding of cigarette butts on the grounds or at your site. Illegal Activities - Drug use, intoxication, profanity, loud, foul, threatening, or vulgar language, or immoral conduct will be grounds for eviction. Damages - You are responsible for payment resulting from damage or destruction to any property caused by yourself or members of your party. - A service fee($20.00/hr.), in addition to any material replacement cost, will be charged for the purpose of repairing any damage to park property caused by negligence. Timber Ridge Resort Disclaimer - Management reserves the right to interpret, adjust, make, and enforce rules deemed necessary for operations for the safety, convenience, comfort, and enjoyment of its guests. - Management reserves the right to evict from the park, without a refund, anyone violating park rules, destroying property, wildlife, or vegetation, detrimental conduct, or creating a disturbance. - All facilities are used at your own risk. - The owners and staff are not liable for loss or damage of personal property or injuries to any occupant of any age or damage to any vehicle or personal equipment. - This property is privately owned, and we reserve the right to refuse service to anyone.

Cancellation Policy

Campground Cancellation Policy - A $15 processing fee applies to all reservations made in the system. - Online reservations require the entire cost of your stay to be collected at the time the reservation is made. - Additionally, you must cancel at least 14 days prior to your scheduled arrival (30 days for Holidays, the month of July, or special events) in order to receive a refund on your deposit, less the $15 processing fee. - Refer to your reservation confirmation for details specific to your reservation. - If you need further assistance, call the resort directly or contact customer service. Deposit Policy - On non-holiday stays, we require a 2-night deposit at the time your reservation is made. - For holiday stays, we require the sum of a 3-night deposit at the time you make your reservation. - No refunds or credit after site set-up or if the stay is shortened. - All Spot2Nite reservations require payment in full at the time of booking. - Please contact Spot2Nite to cancel a reservation via email to [email protected] or call (877)778-2683, Option 1. - Spot2Nite convenience fees and credit card processing fees are non-refundable.
