Alpine Valley RV Resort
Alpine, Wyoming
119 RV Sites
The numbers alone tell a compelling story about Alpine Valley RV Resort's location. The park sits one-quarter mile from Palisades Reservoir, adjacent to the Snake River, within a scenic drive of Grand Teton National Park, and close enough to Yellowstone to make it a genuine two-park headquarters. Voted the number-one RV park in the Jackson Hole area, Alpine Valley has earned that distinction by delivering the full Wyoming experience — dramatic mountain scenery, world-class recreation, and a well-equipped resort that makes coming back to camp feel like a genuine reward.
Full-hookup sites accommodate rigs up to 75 feet in length, with concrete pads, fire rings, and private dining sets at each site. Pull-through and back-in options give guests flexibility in how they set up. The permanent bathhouse includes ADA-accessible facilities, and on-site laundry keeps extended stays comfortable. A fenced dog park makes Alpine Valley a natural choice for pet owners, while the family game area and playground keep younger travelers entertained. Free Wi-Fi covers the property throughout.
The Snake River runs adjacent to the resort, and its canyon downstream is one of the most acclaimed whitewater rafting stretches in North America. Alpine serves as the ideal departure point for Snake River Canyon float trips — guests can walk to the put-in rather than shuttling from Jackson. The Palisades Reservoir offers calmer water for boating, stand-up paddleboarding, and fishing on its 16,000 acres. Horseback riding packages with Willow Creek Horseback Rides operate in partnership with the resort for guests who want to explore the surrounding terrain from the saddle.
Grand Teton National Park lies within a scenic drive up US-26, putting the Tetons' cathedral spires, alpine lakes, and elk meadows well within day-trip range. Yellowstone National Park is reachable for a longer day excursion or overnight side trip. The town of Jackson Hole offers world-class dining, galleries, live music, and the famous elk antler arches of Town Square. Star Valley's cheese shops and farms add a quieter agricultural character to the broader region. The Palisades Reservoir's world-class fishing for trout and kokanee salmon, the scenic US-89 corridor through the Bridger-Teton National Forest, and the alpine trails above Alpine all provide additional day-trip destinations from this truly truly exceptional Wyoming home base.
Alpine Valley RV Resort operates seasonally through the warmer months, with summer the peak season for both outdoor recreation and park occupancy. Spring and fall shoulder seasons bring fewer crowds and equally dramatic scenery, particularly when the aspens turn golden across the surrounding hillsides. Whether you're here to raft the Snake, explore two national parks, or simply sit outside and watch the mountains change color at sunset, Alpine Valley provides the kind of home base that makes Wyoming adventures feel effortless. Book your spot well in advance — sites in the Jackson Hole corridor fill quickly once the season opens.
