Reno RV Park - TX

Paris, Texas

26 RV Sites

Along US Highway 82 on the rolling plains of northeast Texas, Reno RV Park makes its mark through a combination of shade, simplicity, and the quiet warmth of a family-owned operation in Paris, the seat of Lamar County and the unofficial capital of this corner of the state. Mature oak trees shade the property and create the kind of dappled campsite environment that separates this park from the exposed highway pull-offs that characterize much of the US 82 corridor, giving it a natural appeal that belies its highway-adjacent position. A full-service layout with modern facilities and a welcoming atmosphere for both quick overnighters and extended stays makes Reno RV Park a reliable stop in a part of Texas where quality campgrounds are not abundant. Full hookup sites with electric, water, and sewer connections cover the shaded grounds, with free high-speed Wi-Fi keeping guests connected throughout their stay. Separate shower and restroom facilities for men and women are maintained to a clean, modern standard, and a clubhouse with laundry facilities, books, and board games provides a comfortable gathering space for guests on rainy afternoons or social evenings. The pet-friendly and family-friendly atmosphere ensures that all members of the traveling party—two-legged and four-legged alike—feel welcome at this uncomplicated northeast Texas campground. Paris offers an unexpectedly engaging small-city experience for this corner of the northeast Texas plains, anchored by the iconic Paris Eiffel Tower replica—a 65-foot steel structure topped with a cowboy hat that serves as the city's most famous and whimsical landmark. The historic downtown courthouse square and its surrounding walking district provide a pleasant afternoon of browsing local shops, and the city's dining scene delivers several genuinely satisfying options for guests who want a meal off the propane burner. Sam Bell Maxey House State Historic Site preserves the Italianate Victorian home of a Confederate general and Texas U.S. Senator from the Reconstruction era—one of the most intact examples of 19th-century Texas upper-class domestic life in the region. Lake Bob Sandlin State Park, about 45 miles southwest near Mount Vernon, provides excellent largemouth bass and crappie fishing on a 9,400-acre reservoir that consistently produces top catches for anglers who discover it beyond the Metroplex crowds. Cooper Lake State Park, also within 45 minutes, offers additional fishing, swimming, and birding at one of East Texas's most productive waterfowl concentrations during fall migration. The Texarkana area lies about an hour east, while the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex sits roughly two hours southwest—positioning Paris as a convenient stopover for travelers on diagonal cross-Texas routes. The northeast Texas climate produces some of the state's most pleasant spring conditions, with mild temperatures and active wildflower season along the Blackland Prairie and Piney Woods transition zone in March and April. Summer brings the warm humidity common to the Red River basin, while fall delivers cooler temperatures and the peak bass fishing season on the surrounding lakes. The park's year-round operation and full-hookup infrastructure make it a practical choice for winter travelers moving through Texas on the US 82 cross-state corridor, and the oak shade that defines the property in summer creates a comfortable, insulated canopy during the colder months as well.
