Bruce's Landing RV Resort
Cayuga, Ontario
1 RV Site
The Grand River is one of Ontario's great natural corridors — a Canadian Heritage River designated for its outstanding natural, cultural, and recreational values as it flows south from the Dundalk Highlands to Lake Erie. Along its lower reaches, through the Haldimand County landscape of mixed farmland and riverside forest, the river takes on a quieter, pastoral character that rewards those who slow down to experience it properly. Bruce's Landing RV Resort in Cayuga sits on this storied stretch of river, offering a family-friendly escape into southern Ontario's most scenic countryside with a full complement of on-site amenities and immediate water access.
The resort accommodates guests across hydro and non-hydro RV sites, tent sites, and cabin rentals for those who prefer a solid roof. Full bathroom and shower facilities, an on-site general store, propane exchange, and a recreation centre address the practical and social sides of a comfortable stay. A dedicated playground keeps younger visitors engaged, and the pet-friendly grounds welcome the four-legged family members who make the trip. Laundry facilities support longer stays, and the boat ramp provides direct Grand River launch access for guests who arrive with canoes, kayaks, or small fishing craft.
The Grand River itself provides the resort's primary recreational pull. Fishing the river for walleye, bass, and pike is a serious pursuit for the anglers who make up a significant portion of the resort's returning guests. Canoeing and kayaking through the Haldimand County countryside — past riverside woodland and farmsteads — is an accessible paddling experience that suits all skill levels. Campfire evenings by the river, with the sound of moving water and the fireflies of a southern Ontario summer night, are the kind of simple pleasures that the resort provides in reliable abundance.
The city of Hamilton is within driving range to the west, with Dundurn Castle, the Royal Botanical Gardens, and Hamilton's thriving restaurant and arts scene making it a worthwhile day-trip destination. Brantford, the birthplace of Alexander Graham Bell, lies to the northwest along the river. Lake Erie's northern shore — with its long sandy beaches, Point Pelee National Park, and the Long Point UNESCO Biosphere Reserve — is accessible to the south for those who want to combine river camping with Great Lakes coastal exploration.
Bruce's Landing RV Resort is open seasonally through the Ontario camping season, which runs from spring through fall. The Grand River fishing peaks in spring and fall, drawing dedicated anglers who plan their returns accordingly. Summer brings the broadest range of activities and the most social campground atmosphere. Haldimand County's fall harvest season adds farm markets, roadside stands, and the golden character of a Lake Erie watershed October to the appeal. Reserve your riverfront site early and come experience firsthand what makes this bend of the Grand River one of southern Ontario's most enduring camping destinations.
