Check-In Procedure
- Check-in time: 1 pm - Flexible
- Check-out time: 12 pm (noon)
- If you arrive during Host Cabin hours, you must check in at the Host Cabin before going to your campsite.
- Host Cabin Hours: Monday – Sunday: 12:00 PM – 3:00 PM Thursday – Saturday: 6:00 PM – 8:00 PM
- Check in Window: Monday – Sunday: 1:00 PM - 3:00 PM Thursday – Saturday: 6:00 PM – 8:00 PM
- During Host Cabin Hours:
- Stop at the Host Cabin.
- Provide your name and reservation confirmation.
- Staff will verify your reservation and direct you to your assigned campsite.
- Purchase a daily parking pass for each day of your visit to Rifle Mountain Park.
- Daily parking passes can be purchased at campground kiosks with cash/check or at the Host Cabin using a credit card.
- Visitors with a valid Annual Pass do not need to purchase a daily parking pass, as it covers day-use entry for the pass holder.
- Display any required vehicle or site permit as instructed.
- Arrivals Outside Host Cabin Hours If you arrive outside of Host Cabin hours:
- Enter the park.
- Purchase a daily parking pass for each day of your visit to Rifle Mountain Park.
- Daily parking passes can be purchased at campground kiosks with cash/check or at the Host Cabin using a credit card.
- Visitors with a valid Annual Pass do not need to purchase a daily parking pass, as it covers day-use entry for the pass holder.
- Proceed directly to your assigned campsite listed in your RoverPass confirmation.
- Set up only within your designated campsite boundaries.
- Be prepared to verify your reservation with staff the following day if requested.
- Because there is no cell service, you must have your reservation confirmation downloaded, printed, or saved prior to arrival.
- Please note: An Annual Pass covers day-use only and does not include camping fees.
- While each park attempts to accommodate your exact spot request, the on-site manager has the ultimate decision for spot placement.
Permits & Stay Limits
- All vehicles must display a valid Daily Parks Pass or Annual Pass.
- A Camping Permit is required for all overnight stays.
- 14-Night Stay Limit: Campers may stay in the same campsite for a maximum of 14 nights.
- After 14 nights, you may remain in the park, but you must move to a different campsite.
- Camp only in designated campsites.
- Display your camping permit on the site post.
- No camping in picnic areas.
- Daily Parking Pass Requirement: A Daily Parking Pass must be purchased for each day of your visit to Rifle Mountain Park.
- Daily Parking Passes can be purchased at campground kiosks with cash/check or at the Host Cabin using a credit card.
- Visitors with a valid Annual Pass do not need to purchase a Daily Parking Pass, as it covers day-use entry for the pass holder.
- Please note: Annual Passes cover day-use only and do not include camping fees.
Vehicles & Parking Policy
- Each campsite is limited to two vehicles, excluding van sites, which are limited to one vehicle only.
- Additional vehicles are not allowed.
- Campsites labeled “Van” are for camper vans or vehicle camping only.
- Van sites are limited to one vehicle only.
- Additional vehicles are not permitted at van sites.
- Camp trailers are not allowed in “Van” sites.
- Park in designated parking areas only.
- No parking on County Road 217.
- No OHVs/ATVs may be operated in the park.
Quiet Hours & Conduct
- Quiet Hours: 10:00 PM – 7:00 AM 7 days a week.
- No generator use during quiet hours.
- No loud music or disruptive behavior.
- Picnic areas close at 10:00 PM.
- No camping in picnic areas.
- Picnic Area Parking Regulations: Vehicles may only be parked in picnic areas while occupants are actively picnicking.
- Long-term parking is not permitted.
Fires & Firewood
- Fires allowed only in designated fire rings.
- Do not move fire rings.
- Follow all posted fire restrictions or seasonal fire bans.
- Never leave fires unattended.
- Fully extinguish before leaving.
- Wood gathering from the ground is allowed.
- Cutting or damaging any trees, shrubs, or vegetation is prohibited.
Pet Policy
- No off-leash dogs; pick up after your pet.
Cleanliness & Wildlife
- Pack it in, pack it out, or use designated dumpsters.
- Store all food securely — do not attract wildlife.
- Do not disturb, feed, or approach wildlife.
Recreation & Safety
- Climbing is allowed only in designated climbing areas.
- In case of emergency, a 911 call button is located at the Host Cabin.
- No hunting, no shooting, and no fireworks.
Group Areas
- The Group Area and Community House are available by reservation only.

- Policies and terms are set and enforced directly by Rifle Mountain Park and are subject to change as their policies are adjusted.
Cancellation Policy
MODERATE
If the guest cancels at least 1 week before your check-in day and time, they will receive a full refund (minus Spot2Nite convenience or resort fees). If the guest cancels within the 1 week before check-in, there will be no refund.
