All About Relaxing RV Park

Theodore, Alabama

41 RV Sites

At 8950 Three Notch Road in Theodore, Alabama—in Mobile County in the coastal Alabama region where the Mobile-Tensaw River Delta's 250,000-acre freshwater delta system, Bellingrath Gardens on the Isle-aux-Oies River, the USS Alabama Battleship Memorial Park on Mobile Bay, and the Gulf Coast beaches at Gulf Shores and Orange Beach constitute the outdoor and cultural attractions of one of the most ecologically significant coastal environments in the Southeast—All About Relaxing RV Park provides 41 full hookup concrete-pad sites with 30 and 50-amp electric, accommodating rigs up to 74 feet in both pull-through and back-in configurations, a swimming pool, a 10,000-square-foot clubhouse with two pickleball courts, a dog park with bathing station, a horseshoe pit, a giant outdoor chess set, pavilions with gas grills, a community fire pit, and a gated entrance in the family-owned campground that the Mobile County market has rated consistently as the area's most hospitable full-hookup private RV park. The 74-foot rig length accommodation, the 10,000-square-foot clubhouse with pickleball, and the gated security define the infrastructure investments that set All About Relaxing apart from the typical Mobile area highway campground. Forty-one full hookup sites on concrete pads with 30 and 50-amp electric, water, and sewer connections accommodate rigs up to 74 feet—the full-length Class A and fifth-wheel combinations that the widest Big Rigs require for comfortable pad positioning—in both pull-through and back-in configurations that provide layout flexibility for the varied rig lengths and configurations of a typical Mobile-area overnight and extended-stay guest population. A swimming pool with maintained water chemistry and adjacent lounge seating provides the aquatic recreation and cooling infrastructure. The 10,000-square-foot clubhouse houses two pickleball courts and cornhole game sets. A dog park with pet bathing station provides both the off-leash exercise and the post-hike washing that traveling pets require after Mobile County's outdoor excursions. A horseshoe pit, a giant outdoor chess set for the courtyard, multiple pavilions with gas grills and rocking chairs, and a community fire pit provide the outdoor social infrastructure that the campground's "Southern hospitality" identity reflects. Daily trash pickup at individual sites, WiFi throughout the property, a gated entrance, and year-round operation complete the management quality that the family-owned property's reputation rests on. Bellingrath Gardens and Home—25 minutes south in Theodore on the Isle-aux-Oies River—is the most horticulturally significant private garden estate in Alabama, developed by Coca-Cola bottling pioneer Walter Bellingrath and his wife Bessie from 1927 through the 1950s into a 65-acre garden landscape with year-round seasonal displays of azaleas, roses, mums, and poinsettias that the estate's master gardeners have maintained continuously since the Bellingraths deeded the property to public trust. The USS Alabama Battleship Memorial Park—on the eastern shore of Mobile Bay in Mobile—preserves the World War II South Dakota-class battleship USS Alabama and the submarine USS Drum alongside a collection of military aircraft and equipment as the most comprehensively maintained WWII naval heritage site on the Gulf Coast. The battleship's self-guided tour through the gun turrets, crew quarters, and bridge provides the naval history experience that Mobile Bay's wartime significance as a Confederate harbor under Admiral Farragut's attack makes locally contextual. All About Relaxing RV Park is open year-round in Mobile County's warm subtropical climate. The Mardi Gras season from late January through Fat Tuesday is Mobile's largest annual celebration—the oldest Mardi Gras tradition in the United States, predating New Orleans—and fills the area's campgrounds. Reserve the pull-through site early for Mardi Gras, join the pickleball game, and let the 74-foot concrete pad and the 10,000-square-foot clubhouse earn the "Sweet Home Alabama" hospitality that the Theodore address delivers in the shadow of the Mobile Delta.
